What We Offer

We offer a range of services to support you and your pet please see below:

  • We are currently not taking on new patients until the end of 2026 and are unavailable for Discovery Calls.

If you would like to learn more about our service and see if it is right for you and your pet, you can book a 15-minute discovery call with one of our non-clinical team members for £25.
You can book a discovery call without a referral from your vet.

The cost of your discovery call will be deducted from your consultation fee if you choose to proceed. You will receive a £25 coupon code to use at the time of booking to use for any future bookings.

Please note: This is not a call to provide behavioural advice. On this call, we may signpost you to a different paraprofessional, like a dog trainer.

  • We currently have an average waiting list of 6 weeks and strongly recommend you book a triage call to discuss how to manage your pet’s behaviour before your consultation. The 30-minute triage call is £75, and one of our Clinical Animal Behaviourists' slots is normally available within a week.

You will be able to book a triage call once we have received your vet referral.

  • Consultations are £825 for dogs and £715 for cats, and include:

    • A home visit (for clients living less than 1 hour travel from SE1 4HH by public transport)

    • A consultation lasts approximately 2-3 hours, depending on the complexity of the referral. More straightforward consults may take as little as 1.5 hours. A consultation includes a full history and clinical examination, provided this is applicable and safe to do for the behaviourist.

    • Discussion as to why your pet is behaving the way they are

    • Agreement on our mutual aims for the treatment of your pet

    • Immediate management solutions to help in the short term

    • Formulation of a behaviour modification plan – to suit both your pet’s and your life

    • If applicable – discussion about pheromones, nutraceuticals and medication (and prescription if required)

    • Discussion with your veterinarian

    • Completion of any insurance documentation

    • 40-minute follow-up call (which must be used within 90 days of the consultation).

  • Consultations are £675 for dogs and £660 for cats. These consultations are really useful for pets who are fearful of strangers or aggressive towards people, owners who prefer not to have a prolonged face-to-face consultation, and families living outside of our catchment area.

    These consultations include:

    • A consultation lasting approximately 2-3 hours (this depends on the complexity of the referral-more straightforward consults may take as little as 1.5 hours)

    • Full history taking

    • Discussion as to why your pet is behaving the way they are

    • Agreement on our mutual aims for the treatment of your pet

    • Immediate management solutions to help in the short term

    • Formulation of a behaviour modification plan – to suit both your pet’s and your life

    • If applicable – discussion about pheromones, nutraceuticals and medication (and prescription if required)

    • Discussion with your veterinarian

    • A 40-minute follow-up call (that must be used within 90 days of the consultation).

    These sessions do not include:

    • A clinical exam of the pet by a veterinary clinical behaviourist.

  • These consultations are £220 for virtual and £350 for in-person.

They are suitable for people who have completed a full Behavioural Consultation and need follow-up guidance within 12 months. The consultation includes another behaviour modification report to guide you through the next steps.

  • Living with a pet who is showing unwanted behaviours can be taxing on a person’s mental health. In partnership with Max Koenig, we now offer counselling sessions, specifically for pet owners.
If you feel like you need extra support yourself, or you want to explore how your pet’s behaviour is affecting your personal (or professional) life, this might be just the right service for you.

Please note: Bookings with Max are not done directly through the LVBC

THE CONSULATION Process

Clinician Prepares For Case

This involving reading through the medical history provided by your GP Vet and the history provided by you. If your consultation is online we will review any videos you have provided to us prior to the consultation.

Consultation

The consultation last from 90 minutes to 3 hours (in more complex cases). We strongly recommend that all caregivers are present to make sure you can ask any questions you have on the day to our team

Behavioural plan & report

You will receive a behavioural report that may include medical recommendations alongside management modifications on the day. Several weeks after that you will receive a behaviour modification plan (“training plan”)

Client Implements Recommendations

With a behavioural consultation this includes one 40 minute follow up call. We recommend taking this around 3-4 weeks after the consultation.

After this point you may require further follow up calls that are not included. We are however happy to answer simple queries over email.

  • "We felt heard for the first time about Pepsi"

  • "THE TEAM GOT BACK QUICKLY TO OUR QUERIES AND WERE ALWAYS HAPPY TO BOOK IN A CALL."

  • "WE WISH WE HAD FOUND THE LVBC BEFORE SPENDING THOUSANDS ON DOG TRAINERS"
