FAQs

DO I NEED A VET REFERRAL?

1

Yes, for all services we require your GP vet to refer you to us. If you give you GP vet a call, once they have filled in the vet referral we will be in touch to arrange a consultation or support call.

IT’S A LONG WAITING TIME CAN I GET HELP SOONER?

2

Yes we provide 30 minute support calls with our clinical team that mean you speak to someone normally within a week, getting you and your pet back on track.

What makes you different?

3

All cases are assessed by a veterinary behaviourist and we are the only veterinary behavioural clinic in the UK to directly partner with therapists.

DO YOU RECOMMEND ANY BALANCED TRAINING OR E-COLLARS?

4

No. LVBC uses fear-free, force-free, science-based methods and does not allow aversive equipment or techniques in training plans.

If your pet is insured against behavioural issues you may be able to claim, however we do not do direct claims. This means you can claim your money back after the consultation thorough your insurance rather than the LVBC claiming on your behalf.

CAN I DO A DIRECT CLAIM ON INSURANCE?

5.

Therapy for pet owners is a new service that the LVBC provides, and it’s currently not included in the consultation package.
You can book your sessions directly with Max. You can book your sessions directly with Max here
